I decided to work with Marisa as my Certified Wellness Coach as my current routines were not working for me. I wanted to adopt a cleaner, more holistic lifestyle. I totally enjoy all the Wellness Workshops presented by Marisa at the Retirement Residence. I have learned how to read Nutrition Fact Labels on canned and processed foods. I now know how to check sugar content and I am aware of other names for sugar such as sucralose, etc. I have been shown the importance of staying hydrated, being mindful of drink choices and trying to choose better options when available eg. Perrier Water. I am looking forward to our next session on the topic of sodium intake.

I have learned a lot from Marisa and her Wellness Workshops! One specific thing that I have learned from her is the importance of the order of ingredients listed on a product. The first ingredient listed tells you the product contains the most of that ingredient, and the last ingredient listed contains the least! The workshops are so fun but also informative. One of the many workshops Marisa has done here at The Willows was making Spa Face Cloths!! The residents really enjoyed this one and they use their spa cloth often! I use mine all the time at home, it is very relaxing! We are happy and so lucky to have our very own Wellness Coach here at The Willows Retirement Home.
